The Children’s Foundation exists to improve the health and well-being of Northeast children and young people by Making Serious Stuff Fun. We aim to give children a best start in life and continue to offer activities and services that improve their health and well-being as they grow. We do this in 3 ways; 1) Early Years – centred on the first 1001 critical days of a child’s life before they start school. 2) Mental Health – offering activities and services to help maintain and improve mental wellbeing. 3) Physical health – offering opportunities for physical activity supported by Youth Workers to help with motivation and break down barriers
Why we need your support
Every day we improve the lives of Northeast children by making Serious Stuff Fun, it’s why we exist
We aim to give children a best start in life and continue to offer activities and projects that improve their health and well-being as they grow.
From the first day through the 1001 Critical Days before school with our Baby Box
Positive Mental Health – offering activities and services to help maintain and improve mental wellbeing, outdoors and indoors with big Fuzzy Puppets in primary schools.
Better Physical health – offering opportunities for physical activity supported by Youth Workers to help with motivation and break down barriers
Every day can be a challenge when you’re growing but letting children be children, giving them a voice and making sure they are heard, Making the Serious Stuff Fun is what drives us and ensures we remain relevant and deliver impact.
